CREST Fest 2021 FAQs

Where will the Fest take place?

Virtually! We will release on-demand videos at the start of CREST Fest, which will be available for viewing indefinitely. During the six-week festival, we will host a series of conversations related to the talks, as well as panels and other events.

Will the events be accessible?

We will provide spoken English and/or ASL interpreting for all events, depending on language used by the presenters/panelists. We will provide English captioning for all events. If you have additional requests for access, please contact us at crest@gallaudet.edu and let us know what events you’re interested in, and what access you request.

Who is invited?

We designed CREST Fest to provide a forum for learning about the newest developments in sign language-related technology. If you already work in this area, you are welcome. If you do not work in this area, but are interested, you are also welcome. We hope that our content will be understandable and informative for people from many different backgrounds.

How do I register?

You can find dates, times, and registration links for all events at www.crest-network.com/fest-events. Each live event has a separate webinar registration link which you must fill out in order to attend.

What languages will be used?

The official languages of the Fest are English and American Sign Language. All content will be accessible in those two languages. If you have other access requests, please email us at crest@gallaudet.edu.

Are there any costs to attend?

No. The CREST Fest 2021 video content will be freely available to anyone, and anyone may register to attend the free digital events. This Fest is made possible by support from the National Science Foundation and Gallaudet University.
